ASUS Just Launched New ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 Laptops – And They Look Awesome
So ASUS just dropped some fresh laptops at Computex 2025, and I’ve gotta say, they’re looking seriously good. The main stars are the new ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 — built for gamers, creators, or honestly anyone who wants a high-performance laptop that’s still easy to carry around. I’ve been following these updates, and these models really stand out.

The G14 Is Small, But It Packs a Serious Punch
First up, the G14. It’s got a 14-inch screen, so it’s super portable, but don’t let the size fool you — this thing is powerful. The screen has a 3K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and it’s bright enough for any setup (500 nits, if you're into specs). Dolby Vision is built-in too, so visuals will look amazing. I really like that they kept the bezels slim, and it has an 87% screen-to-body ratio which makes it feel bigger than it is. Design-wise, it’s got a clean aluminum unibody and comes in Eclipse Gray or Platinum White — both look premium.
On the inside, it’s running up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which is crazy fast and even has AI features built in. Graphics go up to an RTX 5080, and there’s support for up to 64GB of RAM and 2TB storage. That’s a lot of power in a small machine. Starting price is $1,800, and it officially launches June 25, but some versions are already up for grabs.
The G16 Is Bigger and Even Smoother for Gaming
Now the G16 — basically a bigger version of the G14, but with a few upgrades. It’s got a 16-inch screen and bumps the refresh rate to 240Hz, which is perfect for smooth gameplay. It runs on Intel’s new Core Ultra 9 processor and supports up to an RTX 5070 graphics card. Build-wise, it’s the same aluminum look, so still sleek, and it includes a six-speaker setup for better sound — probably great for gaming or watching stuff.
The base version will go for around $2,150 and hits stores June 25 as well. Like the G14, other versions are already available.
ASUS Also Updated the ROG Strix G16 and G18
Besides the Zephyrus models, ASUS also gave their Strix G16 and G18 laptops a nice upgrade. You can choose between AMD or Intel processors, and both come with up to 32GB RAM and an RTX 5060 GPU. They’ve all got 1TB of storage too. Price-wise, the G16 starts at $1,500 and the G18 at $1,700, so they’re a bit more budget-friendly but still offer solid specs for gaming or work.
Computex Just Started and More Is Coming
All of this was announced at Computex, which just kicked off on May 19 in Taipei. NVIDIA’s CEO Jensen Huang opened the event, and more big announcements are expected all week. If you're into tech, it’s a good time to keep an eye out — a lot of exciting stuff is on the way.
